8/16/2007 01:02:00 AM Well today I was supposed to go buy the computer which I mentioned in my last post. I was standing there for like 2 hours picking out the components because they don't have any more of the components stated in the package. In the end I didn't buy it cause they couldn't reduce the price low enough for my dad to be satisfied.

Now back to the Musashi Black Sakura Katana... Its a really beautiful sword, hand forged high carbon steel blade thats fully sharpened, ivy pattern tsuba (guard), piano lacquered saya (scabbard) with mother of pearl inlay sakura blossoms, authentic same (pronounced sa-mei) (rayskin) and cotton wrapped tsuka (handle) and Musashi habaki (collar). The sword comes unassembled with a maintenance kit, tsuba, 2 mekugi (pegs that hold the sword together), 2 seppa ('spacers' that fit on each side of the tsuba and allows the final adjustments and overall tightness of the tsuka to all other parts), tsuka, saya, blade (habaki already attached), sword bag, certificate of authenticity and display box. The blade is 69.85cm long, the handle is 27.305cm long. Overall it is 101.6cm long and weights 1.13kg. The list price for this sword is $350 but you can buy it for $250 swordofmight.com.
