Reminiscence
Going to my "second home", Berjaya Times Square or meeting up at Leisure Mall, going back to visit my friends and teachers at Victoria Institution... trying to spend as much time with my friends as possible before I left. It always never seem to be enough. No matter how much time I spent with them. I realized that I spent most of my time with about 3 groups of people. Group 1 consists of my fellow Segarians that consist of Su Yeng, Merissa Chan, Eu Jin, Yi Peng, Pei Wern, Hock Ann, Kah Wai, Alaric and Dinesh. Out of all of them I probably spent the most time with Su Yeng. Though I don't think less of everyone else... They're my oldest group of friends in Malaysia... The 2nd Group consists of my fellow Victorians. Vincent Lui, Weng Kit, Stanley, Edward, Ju Hung, Khalidi, Kok Lum, Wing Hong... They're considered my "brothers" among my friends. One of the closest ones too... Spending the last 4 years together in VI was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life... Philana Ng, Vincent Lui, Kathryn Siew, Hui Wen and Adeleine is the 3rd group of friends that I hang out with. Especially during January through March when the 1st batch of NS trainees were away. Our many mamak shops and Old Town sessions were a great way to just chat with one another and so on.... Of course, there were lots of times the 2nd and 3rd group of friends mixed with one another.. Considering how close VI is with SBU... Among all of them, the person I spent the most time with was Vincent Lui. for almost 4 months we hung out almost everyday. Be it in VI, Times Square, VI, Leisure Mall or just out for lunch, or dinner or even an hour or 2 in a cyber cafe. The craziest trio of guys among them all would be Kah Wai, Alaric and Dinesh. Especially the time we had a bbq in the middle of a playground. Which resulted in me having a bad stomach ache for 2 days. My fav group of friends from SKTS would be Su Yeng, Pei Wern, Merissa and Yi Peng.. the 4 of them, in my opinion, are closer than sisters. Then there was the group of Victorians. Like I said before. If the SKTS girls were sisters, us Victorians are brothers. With our school spirit still strong even after we left our beloved VI, we still went back to help out for Sports Day... even though our efforts didn't win any prize. But at least we still managed to have fun in school =P. Oh yes, there were lots of friends that I didn't mention in this post. But that didn't mean that you are all lesser than the ones that I've stated here. Being halfway around the globe from every one of you just makes me treasure our friendship even more. Wei Yan, Li Sim, Fattah, Adrian Mah, Bi Lin, Aqram, Adli, Kennard, Wai Yee, Wai Teng, Wei Leng, Audrey, Li-Shia, Adi, Chiam, Ming Shien, Shazlan, just to name a few. I really miss u all... Do take care of yourselves k. Hopefully I can get a job soon and save enough money for a holiday back to Malaysia next year... Keep in touch guys.... ![]() ![]() ![]()
Sunday, June 24, 2007 Best Buy, Chester's birthday and swords
Later in the evening Victor came over for Chester's birthday dinner thing at the backyard. We had fun with Edward's Masamune, Buster sword and his 2 wooden practice katanas. Victor showing what he learned at the Shaolin temple in Flushing... till he broke the tip of the stick. And then here he is trying to swing the Buster Sword Compare that to Edward Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Tagged
Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4. Star Trek TNG novel, Genesis Force : scowled more deeply and said, "You must summon Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. Nothing but air What is the last thing you watch on TV. History Channel : Cannibalism Without looking at the clock, guess what time is it. 2.10am Now look at the clock. What is the actual time? 2.06am With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? The fan When did you last step outside? What were you doing? Earlier in the evening, carrying a ladder to the garage Before you started this survey, what did you look at? Philana's blog What are you wearing? Red shirt and navy blue shorts Did you dream last night? I was still awake at daybreak. So do u think I had a dream? When did you last laugh? This afternoon while chatting with Melissa What are on the walls you are in? A poster of an abstract Manhattan from the School of Visual Arts Seen anything weird lately? A man shouting on the phone which I can hear half a block down and across a 4 lane road. What do you think of this quiz? some crap for some bored dude (Same with Phi) What is the last film you saw? Fantastic 4, Rise of the Silver Surfer If you become a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? Hmm.. tough question... I would have to say, a laptop for Chester, a desktop for my parents and Edric, some new clothes, tickets for a holiday to KL, and save the rest for a rainy day. If you could change 1 thing in the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do? Recall all the troops in the Middle East and let them fight among themselves till they realize how stupid they are in killing one another in the name of their God when in reality which God would want war?? (Besides the Roman God of war, Mars) George Bush: Recall the troops dammit!!! People are protesting in the middle of the streets in Manhattan! Imagine your first child is a girl, what would you call her? Ooo... difficult one... erm.... erm.... Damn can't make up my mind. Will probably name her after one of my friends: Adeleine, Kathryn, Merissa, Philana... Imagine your first child is a boy, what would you call him? haha!!! Vincent! Would you ever consider living abroad? I dunno what abroad means to me anymore. Since I lived in Malaysia for so long but I was born here too so........ I dunno. What do you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gate? Your friends are waiting for you inside. Monday, June 18, 2007 VI Choir Clips

In the end, we gave up and went to Carom Cafe to play pool. It was alright. I beat them twice in the end. Oh plus I couldn't get that job T_T... They delayed the opening till August or September and I'm probably starting college around then... So sad.... T_T Now I need to find another job so that I can save enough money for a holiday to Malaysia. And I need enough money not only for the air tickets, but for the 1 month or so that I'll be staying there. Saturday, June 16, 2007 Funny videos

Wednesday, June 13, 2007 Choir Competition
Yes I remember waking up early in the morning, getting dressed, reaching school earlier than usual in my choir uniform, waiting for everyone else to come, having makeup applied, getting our hair done (If needed), polishing our shoes over and over again till we can see our own reflection on it, warming up and rehearsing a few more times... Well during my first 2 years in the choir, the competition was held in VI itself and then in the old VI too. So we didn't have to worry about getting to the destination on time. Though I do remember in form 4 being the competition manager as well. Imagine having to get ready, warm up and everything while making sure everything is running smoothly. Seriously, being in the choir was one of my most rewarding experiences in VI. Good Luck guys!!! 2004 ![]() ![]() ![]() Tuesday, June 12, 2007 Mi Mancherai...
I like this song ever since I first heard it. Well the melody of the song feels... wistful... As though the singer is missing someone. And I was correct. Here's the translation: I’ll miss you, if you go away
I’ll miss your serenity Your words like songs in the wind And Love, that you take away. I’ll miss you, if you go away Now and forever I don’know how to live And joy, my friend, goes away with you I’ll miss you, I’ll miss you, because you go away Because the love in you is dead Because, because... Nothing it’s gonna change, I know And inside of me I feel you I’ll miss you, I’ll miss you, because you go away Because the love in you is dead Because, because... Nothing it’s gonna change, I know And inside of me I feel you I’ll miss the immensity Of our days and nights,us together Your smiles when it’s getting dark Your being naive like a little girl I’ll miss you, my love I look at myself and I find emptiness inside of me And joy, my friend, goes away with you Sunday, June 10, 2007 Shoppin'
Wheee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday, my dad, Edric and I went over to Macy's during their sale to buy some clothes. We were looking for coats, slacks and white shirts. Funnily, we couldn't find the white shirts. Ok yes we found some but those were like $34.99 each And thats expensive. Try calculating it into RM. So we both bought a coat and slacks (it was hard to find a coat which had the right size for my dad. My size is a 42R. The cost for 2 coats and 3 slacks? Over 400 bucks. Haha... yea... expensive. Well at least I finally have my own suit...![]() ![]() Today went over to Target. Its something like... Carrefour. Chester got a Gibson electric guitar and a few clothes and I got this red shirt. I was looking for a long sleeved one to go with my suit... didn't find any though. Darn... Oh well... In the evening, Edward, Daniel, Chester and I went to Kissena Corridor Park to play tennis. Alright... none of us are pros. This is the first time that I played tennis too. I thought I had to hit the ball hard since that's what I'm used to when playing badminton or squash. I ended up sending the ball over the fence, into the trees. =P That happened quite a few times and the lady sitting on the park bench had to pick it up for us till she said, "You guys should pay me to do this." Oh and the racket I was using? It broke. The whole head came off. And it was made out of steel too. ![]() ![]() Saturday, June 09, 2007 First charcoal drawing

The reason why I haven't been posting anything cause there was nothing to write about. Now that the SAT is over I have absolutely nothing to do.. well except maybe getting my stuff done for my college applications... I heard that the 2nd batch of NS Trainees are finally coming back... Thats good to hear... erm... what else... Oh yea!!! Alvin and Melissa are coming over on the 2nd of July after their sister's wedding... So yay!! got someone to hang out with!! :P Saturday, June 02, 2007 SAT DONE!!!
I woke up this morning at 6.30am. First time I got up this early here. The skies was already quite bright. As bright as what u'll find when its like... 8.20am in the morning I think.... Well washed up and everything checked to see if I got all my stuff, then left the house at 7.25am. Met Benjamin at the Keyfoods' entrance at 7.30am sharp. Then continued walking towards his school, John Bowne High School. When we arrived like 5 minutes later, there was this looooonnnnggggg line from the entrance and we were both like... oh shit.... While waiting in line, I saw this girl who really looked like Philana... Ok sure the facial features weren't the same but everything else... Really looked like her. Even her CLOTHES... Anyway, stood there in line for about.... 25 minutes before we got in. As expected, we were both in the same classroom, with him sitting in front of me and the only fan in the room which doesn't oscillate blowing directly at me =P.... So we did all 10 sections of the test and the essay.. though I think I screwed the essay... XD. I didn't finish 4 or 5 math questions, tembak-ed a few questions as well but I think overall it was just fine.... Friday, June 01, 2007 SAT
