Life In The Big Apple
Sunday, February 25, 2007 Super Long Post
Lets begin with Saturday, 24th February. My original plans for the day was:
I've been hanging out with Vincent A LOT! He went to buy a PS2 game at LM, then after that, with nothing to do, we decided to go look for Wing Tsun at that Vietnamese Restaurant. After saying hi, we went over to the arcade. One thing that I can be sure that Vincent can't beat me at is air hockey. Yes, I love playing air hockey. I haven't been beaten by anyone since the day after Kat's Pot Luck bbq sleepover party. And that was with Vincent having a 2 point lead after I took over from Kat. I trashed him twice this time. Both with the score of 7-3. Finally we went looking for something to eat. Vincent wanted to eat Delifrance since we haven't had that in awhile. I ordered the CNY set. 3 course meal. It was quite nice, esspecially the dessert. After paying for our food, we set off towards Moi's house. Earlier, Moi told me that he was going over to Giant for some last minute shopping for his open house the next day. But he hasn't done it yet. We had nothing better to do at that time and decided to shop with him. It was a erm... fun experience for him. Haha... I've shopped with friends before at a supermarket. But it was his first time so he had fun. hahaha! We had all of the stuff on the shopping list except for salmon. I suggested to get the smoked salmon strips. Unfortunately, the only type of salmon they sold there was the salmon steak. We put all the fresh food back, and the foods that needed to be refrigerated as well before paying for the stuff we bought. My windshield wipers got spoiled right before we left the building. It got stuck, and something inside broke. You can hear the motors whirring, but the wipers aren't moving. So... yea... I was really frustrated that my car was breaking apart. Planning to get that fixed later today. We went over to Jusco as that is the best place to get fresh food. I remember seeing sliced smoked salmon, vacumm packed as well. But, lo and behold, There weren't any there and the sushi section which was our 2nd choice, was closed. It was around 9pm at that time. Well, we managed to get the tomatoes, cheese, bacon and ranch dressing for the potatoes as well. While we were standing and discussing about what to do about the salmon, I saw a familiar person erm... running, sneakily... I guess... towards the back of Moi and Vincent. I immediately pointed at him and shouted: BABI! Haha... I had no idea why i did that but, yea. Thats what I did. We were all happily surprised to see Weng Kit there and we chatted for awhile about the open hse the next day and he offered to cook the sauce for the spaghetti. So we went looking for the liquid whipped cream for him. While choosing one, we saw ANOTHER familiar face. One that I haven't seen since the SPM ended. Siang Hang. So the 5 of us chatted happily there for awhile before I noticed that it was getting a lil late. We said our goodbyes, payed for our stuff and then dropped everything off at Moi's place before going to Old Town for a drink. Vincent and Moi took some really stupid videos on the way to and from Moi's place. I'll post them once I get it uploaded to YouTube. After our drinks, Vincent was itching to get into a CC and play DOTA. Saying he wants to team up with Moi and trash me. Well in the end they didn't play since there wasn't many people playing, and joined me in Battlefield 2142. Its kinda unfair though. 1 against 2. Moi was using a Mech and Vincent was a support soldier. I was left without ANY vehicles whatsoever. Thankfully I still scored higher than the both of them. heee!!!! =P The next day, I woke up at 8.30 in the morning, washed up and everything then waited for Ju Hung to come over before leaving to pick up Vincent, then Ian and Ming Yoong at the LRT Station. We went to Leisure Mall after that, intending to buy the smoked salmon from Sushi King, except it was still closed. So Ju Hung went to Giant and bought a can of abalones instead. We arrived at Moi's place an hour late thanks to Ming Yoong's lateness and the whole salmon-abalone thing. Most of the guests were there. All ex-victorians. Kim Bee, Weng Kit, Mun Yeu, Nelson and Wing Hong. After awhile, Vincent then asked me to go and get my CD from the car, when I walked out of the front gate, I saw a yellow Vitara doing a 3 point turn at the end of the road. The person in the front passenger seat looked like Mun Tat but I wasn't sure since it was very sunny. Well, I just walked over to my car and took the cards out. When I got my CD and closed the boot, The Vitara was right in front of my car and I could clearly see who was driving the car and who was next to him. Wei Hsien and Mun Tat. As I walked towards the car, I saw another passenger in the back seat, her. Ok I was expecting Mun Tat, but not Wei Hsien and her. Cause Moi didn't mention both of their names when asked who was invited. Anyway it wasn't my open house so I didn't say anything. Well, the rest of the time at Moi's place was rather arkward and uncomfortable for me nonetheless. The sensation grew till I couldn't stand it and I desperately needed a reason to excuse myself. Lucky for me, the clouds were coming and it did look like rain. I told Moi that I had to leave because it looks like rain and I don't want to be stranded here when it comes cause I've got to be home by 4. Even though it was only 2 at that time. (Really sorry Moi, but please understand). I told Kat what happened and everything over the phone once I got into my room. I felt really really pathetic and everything at that time. Well, I spent the time waiting by looking at the new Ferrari F2007. Beautiful car. 5pm finally came and I left with my dad and brother to meet up with Uncle Choo and my cousin, Faizul. We then started our 1 hour journey to Kuala Selangor. The view was, as usual in Malaysia, palm tree plantations. But it wasn't along the North South highway. It was lining a 2 lane, bumpy road. My dad was telling me something about some people, I was listening to him but still, I was thinking of something else. I can't remember what. But I have a feeling it had something to do with me leaving the country or her. Its what I think about most nowadays. We finally arrived at our destination. The restaurant that we ate at was on the waterfront. You could see the sun setting across the river above and behind the trees. It was a really beautiful sight. I've forgotten how many pics I took of that sight. After dinner, we made our way to the firefly reserve place thingy... haha... I forgotten whats it called exactly. Anyway... let me describe it for you. It was a really remarkable experience. One that I might not ever have again. Sitting in a sampan, watching the fireflies on the trees, blinking like Christmas tree lights. It was really quiet except for the sounds of insects and the water while the oarman rowed. Well there was that annoying malay karaoke singing from somewhere. The only illumination was from the moon above. It was really a beautiful sight... and experience. This was the most amount of stars I've ever seen in the sky at one time. Because there was no artifical illumination at all, with only the moonlight, there were many stars out that night. So, it can also be, in a way, a romantic experience as well. That is... if the person you loved was next to you. My mind kept returning to her while I sat in that sampan, watching the fireflies and the stars twinkle. I kept remembering being in Moi's place and how uncomfortable I was. Unfortunately, I don't have a good enough camera to take any pics. My phone camera was the only thing I have. After that experience, we dropped by cousin Faizul's place at Sg. Buluh. It is a really nice house. Big and spacious, with a contemporary interior design. It just lacks a few furniture though. But it was still a really nice house. The master bedroom was devided into 3 sections. The bedroom itself, a bathroom that was seperated fron the reading area by a erm.. whatcha call it... Ok I forgotten well anyway it was just seperated by this erm... foldable changing wall thing... the ones u see on cartoons or shows where like someone goes behind it to change and u can just see the silhouette of the person. Well thats the only thing seperating the jaccuzi bathtub and the reading area. I'll post the pics and u'll see them.
